Part of the new exterior is about making the Colorado easier to drive. The 2021 model also gets embossed tailgates, blazing out the name Chevrolet.

The unique exterior of the Colorado allows for huge bulk on the outside that is trimmer than your usual full-size trucks. The Colorado rings in another successful interior in 2021 as well. Instead of being content to leave the 2020 interior intact, they’ve flashed things up a bit with leather-trimmed interior on even mid trims and a suite of tech upgrades. For example, there’s a new Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system that boasts an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen complete with voice command to phone. New stitching on the parameters of the color seating leaves the brand looking more handcrafted than in 2020. A nice balance between the center console and the seating area means that everyone in the front seat gets a premium experience and their own space to enjoy life.

Trailering maxes out on the V6 engine at 7,000 pounds. Max payload is about 1,550 pounds. They’ve left these two high-grade max ratings intact in 2021, but you’ll find other mechanical upgrades to craft a smoother drive. For example, Duralife rotors come on the 4-wheel disc brakes, giving them an edge over your mere mortal braking systems in 2020. The ZR2 gets Multimatic shocks and an available list that bests the factory-installed lift by 48 mm. So if you want to take your Colorado to the sky this year, you have that option. And don’t forget the ZR2 Bison edition. This handsome off-road devil grabs AEV-designed wheel flairs, 17-inch wheels, and special skid plates. It’s a nice result from Chevy’s work with American Expedition Vehicles.
